MESSE ESSEN

Messe Essen is one of the leading trade fair organisers in Germany and ranks among the country's ten largest exhibition venues. Founded in 1913 and based in Essen (North Rhine-Westphalia), the company operates a vast, modern exhibition centre located in the Rüttenscheid district, near the Grugapark.

The venue hosts around 55 trade shows and exhibitions each year, including about ten major international shows. These events attract close to 1.5 million visitors from more than 120 to 160 countries and around 13,000 to 15,000 exhibitors, with a strong international share of nearly 40%.

The exhibition grounds cover around 110,000 m² of indoor space, complemented by outdoor areas. They include several modern, fully interconnected halls, as well as an integrated congress centre (Congress Center Essen) for conferences, symposiums and corporate events. The site is also complemented by the Grugahalle, a multi-purpose venue hosting concerts, shows and sporting events.

Messe Essen plays a major role in the European events landscape, hosting leading international trade shows across varied sectors such as automotive, security, gardening and leisure. Thanks to its strategic location in the Ruhr, one of Europe's main economic regions, it is a central platform for economic and professional exchange.
